The Department of Energy (DOE) Onsite Energy Technical Assistance Partnerships (TAPs) program in the Southcentral region is excited to announce an upcoming free webinar titled “Hot Ideas for Cool Buildings: Geothermal Applications,” scheduled for April 30th.

The potential for geothermal energy remains largely untapped due to the technological limitations of the past. This webinar will introduce stakeholders and potential end users the potential of geothermal energy technologies to decarbonize the operations of large energy consumers, and which technologies are being deployed more frequently. Successful case studies in the form of currently operating geothermal plants will be highlighted and the no-cost services provided by the Onsite Energy TAPs to look at the early-stage feasibility of geothermal technologies will be shared.

MDMA Member-Only Webinar: Ways to Succeed with the FDA Cybersecurity Guidance https://www.medicaldevices.org/events/eventdetails.aspx?id=1855071 https://www.medicaldevices.org/events/eventdetails.aspx?id=1855071 On Wednesday, May 22nd, from 2pm-3pm ET, MDMA will host a Member-Only (no-cost) webinar, Ways to Succeed with the FDA Cybersecurity Guidance, hosted by Medcrypt.

Cybersecurity of medical devices is a critical element of patient safety, and in response to the rapidly evolving landscape and increased understanding of emerging threats, the FDA implemented significant updates to its premarket cybersecurity guidance in 2023.

The revisions, coupled with heightened enforcement measures, and new statutory authority, emphasize the imperative for medical devices to be inherently secure by design and adaptable to emerging cybersecurity challenges over their lifecycle.

The latest FDA guidance document provides clarity on the FDA’s recommendations regarding the premarket submission information needed to effectively address cybersecurity concerns.

What do medical device manufacturers need to understand about the guidance?

Join the MDMA Member-Only webinar to hear Medcrypt’s FDA expert Naomi Schwartz and Medcrypt's CEO Mike Kijewski on the nuances of updated recommendations and best practices for addressing cybersecurity concerns.
