MDMA Statement on HELP Committee Hearing on User Fees

WASHINGTON, DC – Mark Leahey, President and CEO of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA), issued the following statement today regarding the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee hearing to examine the user fee agreements:

“MDMA thanks Chairman Alexander, Ranking Member Murray and the entire Senate HELP Committee for their tireless work to ensure patients and providers have timely access to medical technology innovations.

"It is critical that all stakeholders continue to work together to make the regulatory pathways more predictable and transparent so that innovators can deliver the cures and therapies of tomorrow

“MDMA and medical technology innovators look forward to working with Congress to ensure that the FDA has the appropriate resources to carry out its important mission to advance public health.”
