Representatives from Biomet and Conceptus Elected to MDMA Board During Annual Meeting

Masimo CEO to Serve as Chairman, AngioDynamics CEO as Vice Chairman

Washington, D.C., June 4, 2007 -- The Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA) recently welcomed to its Board of Directors, Mark M. Sieczkarek, President and CEO of Conceptus, Inc. in Mountain View, CA and Wil C. Boren IV, Corporate Vice President and Officer of Biomet, Inc. in Warsaw, IN.

“It is a privilege to serve on the MDMA Board of Directors and represent the interests of the medical technology industry,” Sieczkarek said. “MDMA focuses on the key issues that impact innovative, entrepreneurial medical technology companies and I look forward to being an active contributor.”

“It is an honor to be elected by the Membership and serve on the MDMA Board,” Boren said. “I have been an active Member in MDMA and have been very impressed with the success the organization has had on critical issues impacting patient care and innovation. I look forward to continuing my work on behalf of the MDMA Membership.”

At a meeting of the Board of Directors on May 18th, Joe Kiani, Chairman and CEO of Masimo Corporation was elected Chairman for a two year term. The board also elected Eamonn Hobbs, President and CEO of AngioDynamics, as Vice Chair, Kelvyn Cullimore Jr., President and CEO of Dynatronics, as Secretary and Alex Lukianov, Chairman and CEO of Nuvasive, as Treasurer.

“I look forward to serving as Chairman of the MDMA Board of Directors and building on the success MDMA has enjoyed over the past fifteen years,” Kiani said. “Today medical technology companies must deal with a series of critical issues that are being debated in Washington and have a direct impact on its ability to succeed in the market. As Chairman, I will work to ensure that MDMA continues to take a leadership role in representing the interests of innovative, entrepreneurial companies in Washington.”

Mark M. Sieczkarek, President and CEO, Conceptus, Inc.
Mr. Sieczkarek joined Conceptus as President and CEO in 2003. Founded in 1992, Conceptus is engaged in the design, development and marketing of innovative medical products for use in women’s health. Prior to joining Conceptus, Mr. Sieczkarek was Senior VP and President of The Americas Region for Bausch & Lomb. Earlier, he held executive-level positions with KOS Pharmaceuticals, several Bristol Myers-Squibb subsidiaries, and Sanofi Diagnostic Pasteur. He earned his MBA from Canisius College and his BS degree in Accounting from State University of New York at Buffalo.

Wil C. Boren IV, Corporate Vice President and Officer
Mr. Boren joined Biomet, Inc. in 1999. Biomet and its subsidiaries design, manufacture and market products used primarily by musculoskeletal medical specialists in both surgical and non-surgical therapy. In his current role as Corporate Vice President and Officer, Mr. Boren is intimately involved in strategic decision-making at Biomet and works closely with all strategic business units on healthcare policy and market positioning issues. Mr. Boren is a graduate of Indiana University, a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and various civic board positions in his hometown of Warsaw, Indiana.
