ISSUES
In 2006, as in the past, MDMA will focus its advocacy efforts on improving the environment for medical technology entrepreneurs. The four main thrusts of MDMA's 2008 Public Policy Agenda are: Monitoring the implementation and any modifications of the Medical Device User Fee and Modernization Act of 2002; Improving the Medicare coverage process and promoting adequate reimbursement for innovative technology; Opening up healthcare marketplaces; and Strengthening the business infrastructure for innovative medical technology companies.
