President & CEO, Smiths Medical
Jeff serves as President & Chief Executive Officer of Smiths Medical, a £836M ($1.2B) division of Smiths Group, plc, that manufacturers specialty medical devices for the world’s healthcare markets. He also serves as a member of Smiths Group’s Executive Committee. Jeff is an experienced senior executive with more than 25 years in the healthcare industry, including medical devices, diagnostics, services, and healthcare informatics.
Before joining Smiths Medical, Jeff served as President of the Global Reconstructive Division at Zimmer, where he oversaw five global business units and numerous functions. He held previous roles as President & Chief Executive Officer of the Health Division of Wolters Kluwer and Vice President & General Manager of the Global Diabetes Business Unit at Medtronic. Jeff began his career at GE Healthcare, where he held progressively more senior roles during his 13 years there, last serving as President & Chief Executive Officer of GE Clinical Services.
Jeff serves on the Boards of Directors of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), the Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA), Medical Alley Association, the Joint Replacement Hospitals of America, Avidyne Corporation, the American Red Cross Northern Minnesota Region, and the Advisory Board of the University of Cincinnati College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Jeff graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and received an Executive MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
