Medical Device Roundtable Event Held in Minnesota

Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) hosted a roundtable with medical device manufacturers, economic development leaders and others to discuss the current environment for the med tech industry. The forum – co-hosted with U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar – was a chance to “solicit feedback on how we can work together to strengthen the medical device industry and at the same time strengthen our health care system and the American economy,” according to Paulsen.

Cong. Paulsen is the co-chair of the Medical Technology Caucus in Congress, as well as the author of legislation to repeal the onerous medical device tax scheduled for implementation in 2013.

The forum is the first of several that will be scheduled with industry leaders and stakeholders, and MDMA will continue to participate and provide updates as they progress.
