MDMA Presents at 2010 APC Panel Meeting
MDMA presented at the February 2009 Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) Panel this week to provide recommendations on how to improve the outpatient payment system in Medicare and ensure that beneficiaries have access to the latest advancements in medical technology. The purpose of the APC Panel is to make recommendations to CMS on how to improve the overall payment system in the outpatient setting. MDMA’s recommendations focused on ensuring more accurate payments and improved access to innovative technologies by providing greater transparency of expanded bundling and composite APCs, and instituting a payment floor so device dependent procedures do not experience significant payment fluctuations.
