HHS Announces Comparative Effectiveness Council

March 20, 2009 - The Department of Health and Human Services named the members of the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research. The 15 member Coordinating Council was created as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The statute mandates that the Council should make recommendations on comparative effectiveness but cannot mandate coverage, payment, or clinical recommendations.
