White House Announces New Actions to Further Strengthen U.S. Manufacturing
The White House unveiled new executive actions today designed to strengthen U.S. advanced manufacturing and spur innovation. The proposals were developed by the President's Advanced Manufacturing Partnership (AMP) Steering Committee, a working group of the Council of Advisors in Science and Technology.
"MDMA wholeheartedly agrees with the President that we need to support policies and programs that will empower America's innovators to develop cutting edge technologies that lead to strong manufacturing jobs," said Mark Leahey, President & CEO of MDMA. "Repealing the medical device tax would provide an immediate jolt to one of America's most dynamic advanced manufacturing sectors, and help spur the innovations and job creation we all desire."
